Upon Jay Jay’s arrival, The Salty has seen fresh new Menu’s for all our Culinary selections. All Menus are reviewed quarterly and costed using seasonal and local produce. The Guinness Bar hosts a Bistro Menu which has been wisely tailored to suit the typical gastropub eatery whilst remaining unique and alluring. Taking into consideration the Olde English vibe, Jay Jay has converted your average Pub grub into a contemporary delight.
The Restaurant cuisine is inspired by Mahurangi River Winery, with fine dining in mind the intricate A la Carte selection is on par with indulgence.
Sparking an interest to all our diners, The Restaurant tends to be a conversational point between visitors; the reason being, the countless antique beer jugs decorating the ceiling of the entire dining room. The Guinness Sports Bar is an atmospheric main asset to The Salty Dog Inn, locally known by its informal title; ‘The Salty’. With ambient music playing at all times, it’s hard not to feel uplifted upon arrival. Regular gigs are functioned in the Guinness Bar such as live Music from local talent, dress up nights hosted by us, Game Nights, Karaoke and more.
